Job Description
Our Client is a nationwide distributor of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, with offices across the UK. They pride themselves in their ability to provide technical backup and engineering advice to their customers.
They are currently looking to recruit an office based refrigeration application engineer to join their team, supporting their range of commercial refrigeration products.
Candidates should have a good practical and theoretical knowledge of refrigeration systems using HFC, HCFC refrigerants. CO2 and NH3 would be an added bonus, but not essential.
The successful candidate will work closely on a day to day basis with sales and engineering staff in all offices and with their existing customer base.
Good communication skills are essential and the role involves considerable contact with customers via telephone, email and at our trade counters.
Candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide technical and engineering assistance to customers on their full range of commercial refrigeration products. This will include cold room calculations & equipment selections, valve selections, compressor comparisons, selection and programming of electronic controls etc.
- To assist their internal and external sales staff with technical enquiries.
- To provide assistance to their warranty department as required.
Full training on their product ranges and selection software will be provided.
A competitive salary commensurate with experience will be offered, together with participation in our PRP3 annual bonus scheme, pensions scheme and private health care scheme (after 1 year’s service).
Hours of work are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour per day for lunch break. Holidays are 25 days per annum to start, plus statutory days.
