Job Description

Our Client offers a wide range of cooling services: including consultation, design, refrigeration system selection, installation, commissioning, service and maintenance

 

They are urgently looking to recruit a Industrial Refrigeration Proposal Manager to handle multiple quotations to just after point of sale.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide monthly sale progress reports to directors

  • To receive enquiries from our in-house business development manager and if required attend any necessary pre tender interviews / discussion etc.

  • Undertake the complete design of industrial refrigeration plants, including pipe sizing, plant sizing etc and produce full estimate / proposal quotation and undertake negotiations with end user.

  • After successful order negotiations handover all financial, design information to the in house contract team and if necessary continue ongoing discussion with client / main contractor alongside contract department.

  • Manage and proactively support all commercial activities to ensure they reflect the requirements of the business and implement the agreed business plan to achieve current and future performance targets and minimise risk and exposure

  • Ensure that all targets are delivered to an agreed time / cost (project) / specification

  • Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved and that the company’s contractual and corporate responsibilities are discharged

  • Full compliance with company standards and procedures

  • Overall design and specification of material and equipment, prepare / oversee drawing production of any required tender drawings, produce specification for all procedure ensuring correct compliance to all codes of practice etc. produce if required program of works and cash flow forecast

  • Discuss with board on a regular basis progress of tender and produce suitable sales / tender reports

  • Obtain competitive quotes sub contractors / suppliers

  • Prepare suitable preferred contractor list

  • Undertake post tender completion review, this must include reviewing all aspects of tender to see where we can improve.

  • The position might grow dependent upon the complexity of the project, and other tasks might be required
