Job Description
Our Client is a manufacturer of Commercial Refrigeration Cabinets and Wholly owned subsidiary of an International Market Leading Manufacturer They supply directly to leading Grocery Chains and indirectly through a national network of independent Distributors.
They are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager. This is a new position to be created following a period of significant sales growth. As part of the Senior Management Team, the role will assume responsibility for a small team of circa 8 staff and the coordination of the Order Management and Order Fulfillment functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Services
- Order processing – enquiries, quotations
- Order management – lead time management, scheduling of deliveries / collections
Project and Installation Management
- Programme Management / Tracking
- Installation Planning – surveys, resource planning
- Installation Supervision
- Control of Contractors – RAMs, Health and Safety, Accreditations, appointment / negotiation
Forecasting
- Sales Forecasting – order cover, sales
Other
- Invoicing - liaising with the Finance function to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and credit control
- Production Planning – liaising with the Manufacturing operation to provide regular up to date order / programme information and to obtain and communicate accurate lead time information
- Transport – liaising with logistics function to ensure timely delivery / collection requirements
- Identification and provision of regular reporting and performance measures to drive service and control improvement
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Manufacturing background ideally in Capital Goods
- To demonstrate solid experience of managing Order Management and Project / Installation teams
- Confident in all aspects of managing and enhancing team performance
- To demonstrate the ability to work across functions to deliver continuous service performance improvement
- Confident in a demanding customer facing environment
- To be flexible and adaptable in a small but fast growing environment
