Job Description

This global company is dedicated to delivering innovative energy savings and control solutions to meet today’s climate control and refrigeration challenges. Established in the late 1900s they are part of a group which has a presence in over 80 countries, manufacturing plants in Europe, South America, China and the USA and over 50 years of experience in supporting the HVAC and Refrigeration sector.

Their Surrey office is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their support team to provide a high quality, professional and responsive line support service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• diagnostic resolution of refrigeration and HVAC control systems
• logging issues via a ticketing system and seeking resolutions
• occasional on-site filed based activity such as commissioning and controls trouble shooting of refrigeration and HVAC applications, humidification and evaporative cooling systems.

As a prime candidate for this role you will demonstrate and have proven experience in:

• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning principles and systems
• Experience of HVACR BMS and system integration control systems
• Knowledge of some network protocols, such as Modbus, RS485, BACnet
• Ability to read and work with electrical wiring schematics – essential !!
• Experience of operating within the HVAC / Refrigeration market is also a distinct advantage
• Hold a full driving license
