Job Description

Our client is one of the leaders in the development of control technology and humidification for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Their products provide customers with the most efficient energy saving solutions.

They are now looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to operate within HVAC Projects channels. The RSM will work autonomously within agreed guidelines and delegated accountabilities to maximise the sales of climate products to the HVAC market. Working across a wide spectrum of customers including Design Consultants, HVAC Contractors, Air Handling Unit manufacturers, Dealers and End Users, the role is to manage these relationships effectively in order to generate sales opportunities for continued business growth. The role involves identifying customer requirements for Humidification and Evaporative Cooling solutions and associated products, sizing and selecting appropriate products as well as making recommendations to the customer through quotations and technical submissions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a mix of customers and prospective customers in order to maximise sales opportunities. 
  • Fully utilise the CRM system to plan customer visits, record sales projects and develop customer sales quotations.
  • With the support and direction of the National Sales Manager, to create and develop a regional sales plan to maximise sales revenue and market share.
  • Participate in and contribute to marketing and communications campaigns including industry events and functions.
  • Meet and exceed sales and margin targets within the region as agreed with the National Sales Manager.
  • Contribute to the wider business performance by providing timely and effective market intelligence and generation quality business leads for colleagues operating in other market channels.
  • Monitor and regularly report on cost in relation to prevailing competition.
  • Review professional publications, attend conferences and events, and establish professional network.
  • Achieve tasks, goals and deadlines as defined by National Sales Manager.
  • Plan and attend regular meetings with customers within the designated territory.
  • Strengthen relationships with influencers and decision makers.
  • Manage and deliver effective sales product and solution presentations.
  • Deliver CPD presentations to M&E Design Consultants.
  • Manage and update all sales activity in the company's CRM system.
  • Regularly report on sales performance against budget and reporting variances.
  • Monthly input to Line Manager in support of periodic sales and business reports and reviews.
  • Regularly report on sales activities, KPI's and sales activity plans.
  • Ensure sales administration is completed effectively and on time.

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the HVAC sector.
  • Experience of plant room environments and building projects.
