Job Description

Our client is a global technology and industrial leader. They create intelligent buildings, efficient energy solutions, integrated infrastructure and next generation transportation systems that work seamlessly together to deliver on the promise of smart cities and communities.

They are looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to develop and manage HVACR Projects and Dealer / Wholsale channels as well as specification routes.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Ensure the successful achievement of the company's sales goals through the deployment of the sales and operational plans.
  • Create and develop programs and action plans to maximise sales revenue and market share.
  • Support the Line Manager to develop effective sales strategy and ensure its timely implementation.
  • Participate in market strategy by providing useful information from sales activities.
  • Contribute ideas to marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of strategic plans.
  • Oversee company's sales performance within the designated territory.
  • Ensure sales volume is at its maximum, maintaining product mix and selling price.
  • Monitor and regularly report on cost in relation to prevailing competition; if necessary propose business case(s) to support adjustment(s) of selling price and strategies.
  • Review professional publications, attend conferences & events and establish professional network.
  • Achieve goals and deadlines as defined by Line Manager.
  • Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with all customers within the designated territory.
  • Plan and attend regular meetings with customers within the designated territory.
  • Strengthen relationships with influencers & decision makers.
  • Manage and deliver effective sales product and solution presentations.
  • Manage and update all sales activity in the company's CRM.
  • Regularly report on sales performance against budget and reporting variances.
  • Monthly input to Line Manager in support of periodic sales and business reports and reviews.
  • Regularly report on sales activities, KPIs and sales activity plans.
  • Manage all sales activities within the designated territory.
  • Ensure sales administration is completed effectively and on time.

  • Ability to analyse results; identify and interpret target variances.
  • Ensure compliance with operational processes.
  • Experience of new business development and account management.
  • Confident professional approach in dealing with senior executives.
  • Motivated to achieve clearly defined and challenging sales targets and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • At leas 5 years of sales experience in sector/related sector.
  • Technical understanding of HVACR products, solutions and applications or similar.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent proposal and report writing skills.
  • Highly developed social, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A full clean UK Driving Licence.
