Job Description

Our Client is one of the world’s leading specialist distributor of Plumbing and Heating products.

They are urgently seeking to recruit a Project Manager to oversee all aspects of off-site project management within the Fabrication facility in the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage all projects allocated.
  • Assist and manage issues escalated by customers, colleagues & project engineers.
  • Carry out de-briefs on projects.
  • Facilitate weekly progress meetings.
  • Produce reports to management outlining fault and risk areas.
  • As appropriate, conduct risk assessments and create associated contingency plans.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel (etc.), on material status and production planning issues for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time in full.
  • Track and analyse projects' performance, expenditures, procurement and report about any possible or current blockers, risks, overflow, deficits.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Based on provided scope and requirements translate them into tasks, schedule and assign tasks.
  • Manage the team on project work to keep project going according to schedule.
  • Communicate to the team management changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Track and analyse project performance, cost performance, schedule and report to the management on the changes project scope, project schedule and project costs, being able to suggest the improvements to all the above.
  • Perform quality assurance.
  • Provide accurate and quality customer service and information for all inquiries via phone, fax, mail or email.
  • Demonstrate communication proficiency, time management, thoroughness and technical capability.
  • Required to perform other duties and/or special projects as requested, directed or assigned.
Key Requirements:
  • 2-4 Years Project Management/Planning Experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Background.
  • Experience with Project Management, quality / continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and advanced proficiency with MS Office application (Word, Excel and MS Project).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organisational skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent teamwork / interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment and confidentiality in communications with all levels of personnel, clients and outside vendors.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints; strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan work and accomplish challenging objectives with minimum of direction; solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • 3-5 Years of experience in project coordination, ideally in an engineering / fabrication environment. (desirable)
  • Experience / strong understanding of Excel formulas (desirable).
