Job Description
Our Client provides Control solutions for Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heating and systems for Humidification and Evaporative Cooling.
They are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a National role and you will be reporting to the Subsidiary National Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful achievement of the company's sales goals.
- Selling the full range of products, solutions and accessories with a focus on commercial, industrial and residential applications.
- Generating technical specifications with specifiers with main focus on consultants and end users.
- Working with the contractor/reseller sales team to ensure specifications are managed through to completion/order.
- Presenting CPD and Technical presentations, arranging seminars, networking events and workshops.
- Prospecting for new clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging a network and successfully converting to high value quality opportunities.
- Building and managing a robust pipeline.
- Developing and maintain long term strategic relationships with key targets.
- Planning and attending meetings with key influencers & decision-makers.
- Delivering operational plans and programs to secure new business development and increased market share.
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity, value propositions and price position.
- Managing and updating all activity within the company's CRM.
- Regular reporting on activity and sales performance against budget and reporting variances.
- Completing periodic sales and business reports and reviews.
- Regularly reporting on sales activities, KPI's and sales activity plans.
Key Requirements
- A proven track record in Specification sales.
- Experience of organising and conducting CPD presentations and seminars.
- Known network of consultants and contractors.
- Vision to understand and translate customer needs into practical solutions.
- Target driven and compliant with operation processes and procedures.
- Motivated to achieve clearly defined and challenging sales targets and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen.
- At least 5 years of proven sales and specification experience in sector/related sector.
- Technical understanding of HVACR products, solutions and applications.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Highly developed social, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
